Boats to Scarp
The island in the background is Scarp which lies off the west coast of Harris in The Outer Hebrides. Scarp had a small community until the island was finally abandoned in the 1970’s. This was the point of contact for the islanders to the other parts of the Hebrides. All goods for and from the islanders would arrive or depart from this little beach.
